July 13, 2010

I walked the Childrens Hospital of Boston's Walk for Kids with  PJ'S BFF Troy. The weather was not cool- rainy, humid, dark.... but that didnt stop over 5,000 moms, dads, kids and others so show their support for the childrens hospital. It was a great day.
I walked for my nephew who has autism and he happens to go to the childrens hospital a few times year- he is such a cutie pie and I <3 him. I wish he got to walk with me but I thought about him all day.
I am use to walking for Komen. That is my true passion, but when asked to do this walk i thought...you know what, I LOVE kids and its something new and since I am not walking in the 3day this year, Im gonna do this one. I am so glad I did. It opened my eyes to a different charity. There were kids there that melted my heart and I was so happy I raised money to help them. Each mile we walked was dedicated to a child who attends treatments at the Childrens Hospital. There were cheering stations, mr. bobs, and snacks throughout the 7 miles route! We walked around the Charles River and saw some awesome areas of Boston.
at the end of our walk we recieved metals and got cheeseburgers!! yummm!!! there were so many activites for kids and it was just great to see how happy they were, when inside they must be hurting. <3.
