The Boston Breast Cancer 3Day is in ONE MONTH FROM TODAY! I hope the weather will be on our side...No rain, alittle breeze...its going to be July...Im worried about the humidity. This year, coordinating outfits with the team might have be be put on hold. Not knowing what the weather will be, the best thing for us is to be comfortable in the attire we will be training in...no fun you say? Well, safety is first, we can decorate ourselves with cute things instead of wearing matching outfits....I'll have to keep an eye out for accessories! We'll see...
So Far here is where we are:
Alex- GOAL COMPLETED! $2,396.00
Melissa- ALMOST THERE! $1,043.00
Becca- ALMOST THERE! $742.00
if you have not yet donated please do so to Becca or Melissa!

Gotta start training again!
I was doing so well for the past two weeks, getting up early and walking a good few miles +. This weekend was busy for me, i went home to see my family and a few friends and NKOTBSB. it was a short weekend there but I didn't have time to train at all- once i started up at work during the week, i have had appointments in the early AM. so my training schedule has been alittle messed up..not good. I plan on going to the gym i the morning, yes, its midnight while I am typing this, I just hope i can get up- the next few days are going to be busy busy busy! work on friday early then the Red Sox game on Sat....Ah! I need to walk!! I guess taking a little break is okay....right?! gah, just feeling slightly guilty this week....Don't you worry, i'll get back in and I will kick some cancers ass!!!!!
Melissa has been doing well with selling bracelets this week! They are beautiful- stretchy bands with nice beads! We have sold them before and they are a huge success! She is selling them for $10.00 each with $5.00 going toward her goal! She is getting there!!!! She is also having a yard sale with a few co workers next week. She is looking for donated items to sell..or buyers! :)

Becca has been racking in some donating this week as well! a week ago she had about $525 and now she us up to $737.00. She is getting there and I am proud of her! She has a fundraiser this week at her house. Beer Pong for a Cure. She has hosted this fundraiser the past 2 walks she had participated in and have been successful raising about $500 each time. Lets hope she can raise that or more this weekend! Good Luck Becca!!!

Goals!
I reached my goal of $2,300.00 last month! I was so excited and I couldn't be more thankful to those who helped me reach it! I hosted one main fundraiser with the help of friends- we had a pub crawl in Boston which helped raise $401.00! I had a bake sale at work and the rest was through writing letters and talking to others! Thank you so much to Everyone who donated!!!!!!! I actually exceeded my goal and have raised a total of $2398.00! WooHoo! Now TRAINING TRAINING TRAINING!
Becca and Melissa are getting there as well- they have over 500 and each have a few fundraisers planned. Becca will be hosting a Beer Pong Tournament this month- hoping to bring in some $$. Melissa is selling bracelets and is possibly having a night at the Camden River Sharks field! Good Luck!
If you have not donated yet, but would like to, please help Becca and Melissa!! All donations are tax deductible.
Here is the INSIDE SCOOP about the 3day. Each walker is responsible to raise a MINIMUM of $2,300.00. if they do not reach this goal, they will be charged on their on credit card the remaining balance to equal this goal. It is VERY important that all 3day walkers receive the support from others to be sure they reach their goal in hopes to find a cure! They will raise tons on money, walk 60mies, feel tired, sore and have blisters. Some will not be able to walk the whole 60- believe it or not...its really hard!! definitely one of the hardest things I have ever done. but in the end. it is completely worth every minute, every blister, every bit of pain. Why? because all that is nothing compared to chemo. Help us complete our journey and help them reach their goals!

Melissa's Walks!
Melissa filled me on on this, Today she walked 3 miles, yesterday she walked 13. She told me that todays walk was so much easier after doing her 13mile walk yesterday. Here is what she said about her 3miles-"When I was walking today I heard a noise in the woods, looked up and there were four deer, a mommy, daddy and two babies."
I love when you're out walking, no matter where it is, and the sun is shining, and the wind is blowing, birds are chirping and it feels so good to breathe in- getting to see deer is definitely an added bonus on my book! :) So pretty!

Training!
For awhile the talk of walking up early before work was NOT an option. I love my sleep way way way too much...but working the 11 to 7 shift, sitting in a car all day, I would come home miserable and thinking that I had no time in the day to "refresh" and take time out to exercise, train or even dance...(Dance is my life..i cant tell you the last time i took a class :(. Times like now where I wish I was still teaching.) Well, with more talk, and a few tears, FINALLY I decided it was time to get the H*^* up in the morning. I mean, hello, i have a gym membership..and i don't use it- what a waste right?!
So all week I have set out a schedule and I actually followed it! I made a google calendar and I wrote it in my planner. I tried to be in bed between 10-10:30 ish. 6am my alarm went off, 6:30am I am out the door...well....that was the plan, so what- i hit snooze and ended up waking up at 6:45am and out the door by 7! whatever- that is still early for me :) Monday I walked 6miles around Brighton- There are so many awesome routes, I'm not sure if I will get bored of them (We'll see). Tuesday I went to the gym (yay!) and i used the Eliptical....I never use that. Now i am a pro! Wed. I walked 3miles. Thursday Gym again Friday I took off cause I happen to work 9-5 that day and on Saturday....I did my biggest training walk ever! 14 Miles around the Charles River. My house in Brighton, through Arlington, Cambridge passing Harvard and MIT and then into Boston. That walk was amazing! I came across a festival in Harvard Sq. Memorial Drive was closed and there were tons of people everywhere! I love festivals, however, i was on a mission...that set my time back alittle bit because there were so many people and they were all standing around..when i was trying to get my walk on! The views however were awesome!!!! i took pictures with my new and awesome camera which kept me occupied as I was walking by myself and I listened to my Ipod. By the 9th mile I started to feel it....I tried stretching which helped for alittle bit but ya know-had to keep going. I ended up finishing the day at 14.18miles! I left at 2:30pm and got home at 7:22pm. Not Bad!
Im sore but I feel awesome that I did that and I did that "alone". Melissa was training around the cooper river in NJ. She did 4 laps finishing at 13miles. So proud of us!!
Here are some pics from my awesome 14mile walk! Hope you enjoy the view as much as I did!
I love this one! :)
This view is beautiful- it will never get old!
Headed home. Feeling the burn 9miles in
Getting ready for the 3day!
